It’s not easy to have a brother or sister with ADHD.

Siblings might sometimes enjoy their brother or sister’s energy and fun-loving spirit.  At other times they may become fed up and frustrated when their sibling engages in disruptive or difficult behaviors.

Siblings of kids with ADHD often feel:

  • Resentful of disruptions to family life

  • Frustrated at how much time and attention that parents give their siblings

  • Saddened by frequent fights and struggles

  • Burdened by a need to be the “good” child

  • Disappointed that their needs are not taken as seriously

In The ADHD Sibling Challenge, your child will find stories and exercises that will help them cope and thrive.  They’ll learn about ADHD and explore their feelings about it. They will learn better strategies for living with their ADHD sibling.  They will discover better approaches to getting their own needs met.

Read and discuss this book together with your children.

Doing so can strengthen your relationship with your child, help you understand your non-ADHD child’s needs, and help them feel more understood and supported.

The book gives you tools to understand your kid’s experiences and strategies to help meet their needs.
